My family has Aetna insurance, and I was thinking about getting BC in the near future, and I was just curious to as how much most BC costs with Aetna. So does anyone have this insurance? I would probably try getting the pill. Thanks!

I have aetna, and it doesn't cover my birth control very well. I take Femcon and i pay about $40 for a month of it, I think insurance covers like $10. Fortunately finances are not an issue for my family... if it was my only rx they might not want to spend $40 a month on it, but I'm on 3 other RXs so it's just part of my monthly load.

Sometimes you can tell your doc insurance or cost is a problem and they'll prescribe you with something cheaper (or generic) or even give you samples. Generics are great, and sometimes you will even get insurance kickbacks for getting generic.

10 bc with aetna
the only way to get 10 generics from aetna is to call and get their preferred list. every generic will be same cost as regular (or really close to it) i called and got an answer in a few minutes. they offered 3 preferred options which were 10 a month
