I am faced with a couple of problems, let me know what you think...

I was told i had smegma on my penis when i was 17 or 18 years old by my childhood physician. Since then i have done the reccomended cleaning with irish spring soap as reccomended, but the smegma remains. I dont really see the white flakey bits on my penis and i havent in years. However, there are bumps that have formed...can this still be smegma? perhaps a fungus?

My Dr. reccomended a circumcision, but i had a knee surgery this summer so i figured one surgery at a time is enough! I am considering it because i dont feel like i can have a normal relaitonship with a girl. Having these bumps on my penis is extremely embarassing...and i cant imagine bringing myself to tell the girl i have feelings for. Infact it has made me immaturely ruin potentially great relationships. I feel kinda trapped at this point.

I'm 20 years old and in college...i feel like i should be gettin out there at this point. My dad asks me why i dont have a girlfriend and what do i say..."Nah man i got this junk on my dick", chicks don't dig it....

If the Dr is reccommending circumcision, then i think that is probably the best thing to do, but only if he is that that it will fix the problem. There would be no point in going through that surgery for nothing. Has your doc referred you to a specialist at all? Maybe you need a second opinion before you agree to surgery. I can understand your feelings of embarassment and feeling trapped. I would get it dealt with soon, so you can feel better about yourself and move on. Good luck.

Have you gotten confirmation from the doctor as to what the bumps are?

You lose a lot of sensation with circumcision. You still have enough to enjoy an awesome sex life, but just make sure you're ready to part with the extra sensation before you agree to the surgery. I agree, sometimes circumcision is necessary. Just make sure it's the best decision for you!
