burning when urinating after bacterial vaginosis Posted: 12-11-07 19:23pm
It started i believe when I used a
vibrator in the bathtub. A few days later
I experienced uti symptoms and I also had
some discharge. I was treated with
antibiotics for the uti and also treated
for a yeast infection although I was only
diagnosed based on the symptoms I had, no
tests were done. About four days later the
symptoms weren't improving and so I went
back and was treated with a stronger
antibiotic on the basis that I had a high
white blood cell count in my urine. I was
also treated for bacterial vaginosis. They
also tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and
hiv. They did a pelvic exam and said that
everything looked fine. Its been almost
four weeks now and I am still having the
burning sensations that mostly occur
before and after I urinate and aren't real
noticeable while I'm urinating. I feel
like the burning is just inside but
sometimes I fell like its on the outside
too. I have also tried an over the counter
yeast infection thinking that may possibly
help but nothing has. Every time I went
back to the doctor she said there was no
sign of the infection after taking the
strong antibiotic and nothing grew on
culture. What is this?! Is it possible to
have herpes only in your urinary tract or
could it be some other std. Im really
worried and dont feel right. I also want
to add that I have noticed muscle aches
and sore throats a bit while I've
experienced these symptoms.
