November 30th, 2010
collar bone lump
I have a lump on my collar bone on the right side.

What could be the cause?

I'm really tired too. Also I feel like I have been peeing like no tomorrow (even my mother said it's weird) because I usually go about 8+ times a day.

Thanks, please reply I really want an answer.

I'm off to the doctor tomorrow as I too have a lump approx 10cm to the left on my neck, just above my collar bone. I have also been experiencing a lot of colds the past few years & since then pain in my upper abdomen on the left side. My father died of Hodgkins Disease which makes me even more nervous. My husband says it will be nothing, so wish me luck & hope he's right.

Lump above left clavical
I have a large lump about and an inch above my left clavical.
Im 14.. Ive been to the doctors twice, they sent me to an ears, nose and throat specialists. Who sent me to the hospital to get an ultra sound. I then had a consultation about getting a fine needle aspiration. I got that done and was then sent for bloodwork at the local doctors office. I received a phone call that told me to go to a surgeons office for a consultation on July 15th.. Tomorrow. I am really nervous about what it may be. Its been there for four and a half months. Has not changed. And is painless most of the time. Is there a possibility that I may have lymphoma or Hodgkins Lymphoma? It doesnt help that Im a hypochondriac and I have anxiety. The docotor said earlier on before my FNA that I was probably going to have to get surgery or get it drained. Anyways Ill probably never read anyones reply. But thought Id let you know youre not alone!

Hey Kels, I know it's hard not too worry cos I did no matter what anyone said. But my bloods came up fine so it wasn't investigated further even though the gland is still enlarged. Hopefully you will get the same result or it might just need to be drained, like a cyst.
The main thing is to stay positive & if the worse does happen, these types a cancers have great recovery rates these days. Stay strong, I'm sure your parents are worried too but are trying to be very positive & hopefully all the positive energy will work.

Finding a Lump on the side of my neck
I am worried at the moment I just discovered a lump that feels oval shape but not painful on the left side of my neck towards the collar bone..I do have a cold at the moment.I checked the other side 0f my neck , no lump in the same area.I do have a minor thyroid problem. However and take medication for that everyday.I am 37 years old.I also noticed that I been waking up sweating sometimes bad.I figure its probably postmenopausal. But I also have been experiencing Pin s and needles with a slight burning sensation on the right side back of my neck.I am worried because My Aunt had Lymphoma cancer .She had a lump in neck in the same area and had a biopsy and it was Cancer. They said it was the size of a baseball. She had died from this in 1995 after being in Re-emission 3 times. She had fought this as hard as she could. This is the only person who has had cancer in my family .She had a bone marrow transplant too.I am so frightened at the moment. But I am going to make a appointment this week with the doctor.I hope its just from a cold that I am having.Has anyone had situations like this?I could use any advice .I would appreciate it!

Hey everyone, I had the same exact symptoms as most of the people on this page. I had a swollen lump the size of a golf ball (oval shaped though) that was fixed and about the harness of on overcooked egg (and about that size too!). I had numbness and tingling all down my shoulder and had flu like symptoms and weight loss along with fatigue. I had a needle biopsy done which was "inconclusive" so they went ahead and cut it out of me. I was 24 at the time. I had this thing for three years but was too scared to go to the doctor about it. People, just go and get it checked out as soon as you can so you KNOW what it is. I am sure most of you can attest that worrying about it all the time is horrible and consumes your life. Mine turned out to be a "mass" which was benign. I have felt much better since I had it taken out and i never get sick anymore and I used to get seven colds a year. Go to a doctor, it could save your life.

Small knot in the lower left neck (near right collar bone)
Hello (WhoKnows22354)you have been the only one on this site who has had something even remotely positive and confirmed from your diagnoses. Everyone on here is just telling each other about their fears and truthfully this is a site for answers not inquiry's. I came on here looking for answers the same as everyone and no one had anything remotely like yours so thanks for answering my concerns. I will be going to see a doctor myself. God bless and I wish everyone of you on here the most blessings for your results just stay and keep positive and always keep God on the brain! I myself is not accepting anything worse.

Need help
Hi I am 33 yrs old female, and I too have a lump on the base of the nape of my neck. No pain... but I notice every year I am getting more Fatigue, and out of breath. Some numbness on the left side from shoulder to toes when I sleep or stay in a postion too long. I am also anemic. When I climb stairs my joints are in pain, and I am tired before I get to the top of a flight of stairs. A couple yrs ago when I was 17. I fell in my kitchen and woke up, not knowing how I got there. The lump was pea size, now it's a pebble. I can sleep two days without waking up... this is serious.

dring and everybody else with a mysterious lump - I'm a doctor, but I wouldn't remotely attempt to diagnose a lump on a bulletin board. You go see your doctor, they feel it, they ask you a whole bunch of questions. You ask them what range of things they're thinking it might be. Then they either tell you it's nothing (for example, some of these on this board have sounded like a plain old sounding lymph node, which would swell and be tender when you have a cold/flu/strep etc.), or they will run some tests to get more information on identifying it. While I would say that usually things that move around freely (as opposed to being fixed) under the skin are not worrisome. But why wonder? Go ask someone with the knowledge and experience to investigate.

Lump on Right side of neck had ultrasound today and scared
Hi, I'm a 34 year old disabled female and have many different medical conditions but this one is really scaring me. My brother is 33 and has never smoked, drank, or done drugs and has Berkits Lymphoma. My dad died of lung cancer and my grandmother (his mom) was just diagnosed with it too. I noticed about 4 months ago I was having issues swallowing. Almost like I couldnt and it would hurt sometimes. About a month ago I noticed a lump on the right side of my neckabout 2 inches below my ear on the side. It wasnt very big and didnt hurt unless I used pressure so I told me DR who has been keeping an eye on it. About a week ago I noticed it got much bigger and almost feels like there are a few other small ones around it so I told the Dr and he had me get an ultrasound today. They sent me home with a disk of the images and I looked at it out of curiosity and there are large areas that I'm concerned about. I have to wait until tomorrow to hopefully get even an answer but am so stressed now I cant stop worrying. When the lady was doing the ultrasound and pushed in on that area it hurt really bad and she did the left side to compare and there was another mass I guess that was round and very large. I have had fatigue but much worse than usual. My white and red blood count are very high and my hemocrit wont go down either. I have had night sweats really bad for about a month now and about a year ago lost 90lbs in 4 months. Does anyone have any ideas please?! I dont think I'll be able to sleep tonight and really would appreciate some input. Thanks!
