I've had some urinary tract infections - bladder and kidney. Atfer some lab tests, with a lots antibiotics I managed to get through. The last problem comes from just a word...
After a consultation, when I told the physician that my urethra, actually citoris has a red spot he told me that this could be ureaplasma... Shocked and nothing more
now I red somthing about this on different sites, but i'm still confused. Confused
If somebody know more please help me the following questions:
what is ureaplasma infection?
What are the symptoms of ureaplasma infections?
How could I get such an infection?
What test is possible to find out if it is ureaplasma?
What are the risk if I get pregnant?
Thanks Smile

I was just recently diagnosed with ureaplasma urealyticum. My symptoms are frequent urination (sometimes more than 25 times/ day). Nocturia : wake up every 2 hours to void. Incontinence. Debilitating fatigue and of course frustration that this has gone on for 2 years without being diagnosed.

I'm on floxin 400 milligrams twice daily. I've been on it for 6 weeks now and haven't noticed any difference.

I caught the infection from someone coughing on me at university. I'm sure that's how I caught it. I've never had unprotected sex and my partner was checked for the infection and he doesn't have it. We are totally monogamous.

I don't know what to tell you. Sorry, it's a bit of a nightmare!
