I've just started on the pill m sommed - the standard one anyways...
Am I still suppose to have my period as normal if I started taking the pill on the first day I should be on?

You normally take the pill 21 days on, 7 days off. What happens is that after the 21 days, your body then notices hormone levels dropping. When they drop to a certain point, you would get a semi-period. This is likely to be less than you'd normally had before.
