I have never been pregnant before, so I don't know what it is like.....please help! I have been on birth control (desogen) since May, and still am. I have not missed more than one pill at a time, and when that happened took two the next day as advised. About a week ago or so my breasts began to hurt and feel vert tight and firm...it is so bad now that I have to lay on my back so that they don't hurt so much. I have also been very dizzy the past couple of days, and have had a headache off and on for about a week. I don't really feel sick, but have had diarrhea, and about two weeks ago just did not feel good in general. I have been so exhausted the past 3 or 4 days that I could sleep all day if I had the time! Since I am the pill it is really hard to tell if I had my period or if it was spotting becuase all of my periods are very light now. This time it was more of a brownish color, and lasted only about 2 days, while usually it is about 4 or 5. I am not sure whether these are symptoms, or how long after conception that they would take place if they are. I realize that it is rare to become pregnant while on birth control, however my mom conceived 2 of her 3 children while taking birht control....so that has me sourt of worried. I would really appreciate any advice or comments.....thank you so much!

Thank you!

Did your period come (the spotting/bleeding) when it was supposed to come?

You should take a pregnancy test if you ever suspect pregnancy.

Those can be pregnancy symptoms, but they can be symptoms of the flu as well. So take a test.

No...it Was Early By About a Week And a Half.
At first I thought that I may have just been feeling under the wheather......but then the flu like symptoms went away.....I am a DD and often times get pretty sore before my period.....but this is much worse.

Haven't done that yet....to be honest with you the thought had never crossed my mind that I may be pregnant until yesterday....that is when my breasts really started hurting badly....and I am not sure when it may have happened....or if it has been long enough yet.

If you have enough pregnancy hormones in your body to create symptoms such as sore breasts, you have enough pregnancy hormones in your body to create an accurate test. Smile

I have no idea how long ago this may have happened...if it did. It is hard to tell when you are on birth control.

Test if you are worried! There is no use worrying and holding off to test (unless if its too early of course, which it doesn't seem like it is in your situation). It just causes tons of extra anxiety and worrying. Good luck!

You are right... I know that! We have had this scare before I was on birth control. And I don't want to get him all worried and upset, so I was just not sure if it has been long enough for an accurate test otherwise there is no point in both of us being worried!

I have been reading what other people have said about their early pregnancy signs...and it sounds like I may be...and pretty far along too...if I am in fact pregnant....one bad thing about being on the pill!

Yet if you have been experiencing your 'period'... you would not be pregnant. Wink

Just test. No sense in needlessly worrying over something that might not be.

Good luck.
