Hello! The first da of my LMP was Nov. 17th. My estimated conception date was on da 1st of Dec. Me and my fiance' had unprotected sex on the 1st of Dec. (not knowing it was my estimated conception date at da time). I am on birth control pills, but i do NOT take them at the same time everyday, and have missed a day and had to catch up. I've read that not taking them around the same time of the day can make them ineffective!!! I think i've been having a few symptoms of early pregnancy which have been: cramping, lower abdominal pain, soreness of breast, visibal veigns in breast, more bumps on areona(area around the nipple), and also discharge from the nipple! Could i be pregnant? Its been 10 DPO and im wondering if i can test today? Please reply..thank u!!!

Even though you could be pregnant, it's a little too early to be experiencing these symptoms of a pregnancy if you think you may have conceived on December 1st. I do not think that a pregnancy test would help you this early on, but it doesn't hurt to try one of course. It is hard to tell when you are on a BC plan and just starting it out, and it could be playing with the timing of everything.

Birth control is only effective about 99 percent of the time if you follow the directions, so it is possible that you could be pregnant whether you were careful or not......and you weren't of course.

The symptoms you have could actually be side effects of your pill. If the pill is making you uncomfortable, maybe you should talk to your doctor about an alternative.

Oh, I see. Well if you haven't experienced these symptoms until now, then you should probably take a test....you may have even been pregnant for longer than you think if you are pregnant. If you are pregnant from 10 days ago, then you could still take a test, but if it comes back negative, then try again in about a week to be sure you haven't tested too early.

You don't know if you did ovulate, you are estimating? Is that what we are to understand? In that case, you should test when (if) you miss your period or when you take your placebo pills.

You can boost your protection by wearing condoms or using spermicide!

Good luck.

Why are you assuming that you ovulated when on BCP. Unprotected sex means no protection whatsoever. Taking you pill somewhat late will most likely still NOT get you pregnant. On top of all this having intercourse on your O day doesn;t likely get you pregnant either ...it is sex prior to O date that usually does the trick. Test if need be when you have missed a period but the chances are very slim.

You're again assuming IB exists! Your chances of pregnancy are slim and chances of IB are slimer and close to 0 ...It has not been proven to exist. Symptoms of pregnancy are IDENTICAL PMS. I see nothing out of the ordinary that jumps out and screams PREGNANCY! Then if you have read all about the possibilties , why havn't you read the more likely possibilty of your hormones being out of whack due to the irregualr fashion you are taking your pills? Taking them irratically will cause spotting, breakthrough bleeding and PMS symtoms galore. You are still most LIKELY NOT pregnant!
