Hey girls! He's finally here after 12 days of being overdue!! Very Happy I came in at 7:00am to be induced, and by 8:30am they started the pitocin. I started off the labor at about 2cm dilated and 50% effaced.

Up until 3:30pm, nothing was really happening. I was having contractions that were no more than 4 minutes apart, but I wasn't feeling them at all!
At 3:30 my doctor came in and broke my water and I was about 3cm and 60% at that point. Still, I was barely feeling the contractions. I was rating them at about a 1 on the 1-10 pain scale. lol.

Eventually I started feeling the contractions...all in my back! They were coming every 30 seconds to 1 minute apart. LOL My mom kept saying that with them being so close together, that I had to be at least 7-8 cm dilated. Boy was she wrong!! I got checked around 10pm, and was only 5cm!
Shocked I was beyond p-oed!! By this time my contractions were basically back to back and they were hurting so bad.

I actually got to the point where I asked the doctor if there was any pain relief options that I could use just to put me to sleep. The nurse said that she would call my doctor and asked, and my doctor said she wanted me to wait it out. The nurse said if I was still at a 6cm in a hour, then they would give me the drugs. Well she ended up checking 30 minutes later and I was at a 7.

Needless to say, I never got any pain relief! The contractions ended up getting so strong and back to back that I started puking through every one! Not fun at all!

Then by 12:10am, I was having to push, and he was born at 12:15am!!! yes He weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and is 21 inches long! Brown hair and brownish green eyes so far. Very Happy Anyway, I'll have to post pictures when I go home tomorrow.
