Lump Under Nipple (man Boob) Making Me Insecure Posted: 12-10-07 04:14am
I'm 21 very fit. I have been going to the
gym on a regular basis for 2 years and
have a body I am very proud of.
Problem is less than a week ago my right
nipple has become a bit swollen, my left
one is absolutely fine. Feels like there
is a hard lump/disc of fat underneath it.
Even though I have good pectoral muscles
it makes my chest look pointy (man boob).
As you can imagine this is very
embarassing as I am getting very close to
someone I fancy who always complements my
physique. Last thing I want to do now is
take my shirt off now!
I have been searching and reading stuff on
the net and think it is gynecomastia which
apparently is normal in 10-21 year olds.
Normally caused by having too high
bodyfat, or imbalances in hormones -
testosorone and estrogen. It should return
to normal without any special treatment.
It will be a month before I chase this
girl up as we are at uni and go home for
xmas. So my question is, is there anything
I can do to speed up getting back to
normal? Would some sort of anti estrogen
supplement help? Has anyone else
experienced this and what did you do, what
happened?
Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

I think you should see your doctor. It's
rare but men can get breast cancer too and
I think you should get a proper diagnosis
before you try treating yourself, just in
case.
Good luck with the girl

That is strange. My nipples became hard
during 8th grade, but that can happen
normally during puberty and what ur
experiencing probably has nothing to do
with that. I dunno, but good luck with
the girl and see a doctor if convenient!
