Is It Common For An Ultrasound to Not Find Anything? Posted: 12-10-07 01:02am
I found out Dec. 3rd that i'm pregnant,
and the estimation the doc. gave was 6
weeks.
Thurs., I had cramps and started bleeding
so I went to the ER. They tried to be
nice, but i could tell the lady really
didn't believe i had a chance. She said
she didn't see anything. A sac, but no
baby.
I'm getting the results for my hormone
levels tommorow or tuesday...so nerve
wracking!

Did they do a vaginal ultrasound? If they
didn't then it isnt uncommon at all to not
see a fetal pole at only 6 weeks. If they
did do a vaginal ultrasound and still saw
nothing then it is a bit concerning.
Either way they will still do a follow up
scan in a week to 10 days.
Hope this helps.

If you had cramps and bleeding at 6 weeks
and they couldn't find the baby, I'm
pretty sure you must have miscarried. I'm
so sorry!!
