Q: Mouthpiece And Braces

Hi, I was diagnosed with TMJ almost two years ago when my jaw started locking shut. Since then it's been a long hard road of pain. I was eventually fitted with a mouthpiece which was suppose to change my bite to allow my disk to slip back into place. At first, I took the mouthpiece out while eating, which I later found out I wasn't suppose to do. After stopping that for a few months (along with chiropractor and massage for my neck), my TMJ has significantly got better, is almost 90% improved. Now I have to get braces to make this bite permanent, because when I take the mouthpiece out now my back teeth don't touch. However, I am 19 years old, already had braces for 4 years earlier, and desperately DO NOT want braces! So I have been looking into iBraces (hidden braces behind your teeth). A few different orthodontists have told me that they treat alot of TMJ patients with iBraces. I was just wondering if anyone here has used the mouthpiece/braces method to treat their TMJ, ecspecially iBraces? Thanks!

This possibly is what im talking about ---pm me the name of the doctor and ill look into it for you. Ive never heard of ibraces. do you have further info on it? your back teeth should touch. you might want to point it out to your doctor.
