Sinus Tmj And Headache Issues. What Could Be the Root Cause Posted: 12-08-07 19:46pm
first post so lemme say hi to everyone.
I have been suffering from headaches sicne
the last 3 years now. Am currently on
depression medication and it works great.
however it all started 3 years ago.
downhill I mean. I fell really sick and
felt depressed. had a really nasty throat
infection which I got from my then
girlfriend. after 4 days of some really
nasty antibiotics i felt better but never
came back to normal.
basically since then I have this huge
sense of fear and numbness. The numbness
is the worst. its like I have become a
zombie. I cant react to normal questions
and life just seems to be passing me by. i
had tow sinus surgeries and they didnt
help at all. I smoke which may be making
my sinuses worse. but I never had sinus
problems before in my life so am not sure
why it isnt going away now.
I usually have a lot of pain and tightness
in my head. also have extreme soreness in
my throat. like right where the neck meets
the chest. it the back of the throat and
front. sometimes it clears up and I feel
very normal.
I read about it and it seems that it could
be gerd of post nasal drip. but I have no
clue what it is and doctors just seem to
prescribe medicine to no end without
helping at all. I literally have gone
nowhere in the last 3 years of my life
with this depression and anxiety. i know
for sure that the depression medicine
works fine because I have times when the
headache goes away and I fell totally
normal.
also have the feeling that I cant bear the
pressure of my head and keep tending to
hunch leading to other problems.
The root cause of my problems is probably
1. Sinus infection
2. TMJ
3. Chest or throat infection
4. GERD
5. something else
anit biotics havent helped and giving up
smoking also doesnt really help. its
better than not smoking but I still am
miserable.
any advice or help will be greatly
appreciated.
P.S. am currently seeing a chiropractor
how runs the muscle relaxing machine on
muscles behind ears but it isnt helping
much.

Update
I found that a lot of my pain and numbness
is caused by irritation of tonsils and
throat right behind the upper teeth. am
not sure why they are always in an
irritated state but if i figure out how to
relax that section then my jaw aligns well
and breathing comes back to normal.
could this be because of mucus dripping
down from the nose? or gerd acid coming
from stomach. I have noticed that when i
drink a lot it usually feels horrible in
that section the next day. ditto for
smoking.
