Does anyone have any information on the occurrence of tourette's and childhood bipolar disorder? My son (age 9) was diagnosed with tourette's two years ago, but i'm afraid he is also exhibiting signs of early onset bipolar disorder.

Thanks.

Bipolar disorder?
I have been having the same problem with my child. The little guy wont quit cussing. The other day he brought me flowers and then cussed me out and threw cheerios at the dog. I don't understand. Is he just frustrated or is he bipolar? The doctor said it was probably a medicational issue. He is prescribed xanex for his anxiety issues, but I also often give him some of my morphine tabs to help him go to sleep. So we'll see. Good luck.

by its own definition, tourette's often exhibits co-morbid conditions in the entire mental health gauntlet
