okay i was diagnoised with PCOS 2 years ago. i dont get my period regularly i go about 3-5 months normally with out getting a period and i cant go on the pill for blood pressure problems. my new doctor put me on a diabetes med that supposedly helps with controlling my problem. the week i saw her i had my period which was nov 14the...i ended my period on the 15th...i had sex on the he 20th and then got it again on thanksgiving..i also had my period at the end of october..i forget the week... its just really weird that i had gotten my period so many times and got it a few days after having sex i also had my period for 7 days not particulary heavy or light after having sex ......is there a chance i could be pregnant?

if you've had unprotected sex then yes you could be pregnant. use a condom next time

There are non hormonal forms of birth control (like condoms) you could look into. You should NEVER assume that because you have PCOS you will not get pregnant. Additionally, you do not want to expose yourself to any life long sexually transmitted diseases. You should always use condoms.

i know just cause i have it doesnt mean i cant get pregnant but i did have my period 3 times in a month and half and the last 2 were only 7 days apart is that enough time for my body, which naturally doesnt have normal cycles, to go through an entire cycle..thats my question im not stupid about sex and the condom broke so it wasnt unprotected so please dont assume that i was being stupid and not using protection...

Then perhaps you should have clarified your question. I was not assuming your were stupid, I was assuming that perhaps - like a lot of people with PCOS, you thought you could not get pregnant.

But you aren't. So don't worry.

lol sorry im just cranky and thats what the pcos does to me i have horrible mood swings and i just had stop the news meds for pcos because they were dropping my blood sugar too low and causing me to be tired and extremely shakey and my school work doesnt help being up for days straight lol....but yeah i know even with pcos i can get pregnant, but it tends to be a lot harder and i have high risk miscarrage blahblahblah i heard it all from my gyno who's actually a leading dr in controling pcos
