Ugh...
Well....got the update from the lab, and not as great as I thought.
Of the 8 embryos we have the following
4 cell B
4 cell B
3 cell B
3 cell B
B-
C
C
D

Don't ask me what that means...I'm just as confused as you are.
The Dr said that we have a 55% chance of pregnancy if we transfer 2 B embryos, and my DH said...no way. So that reduces our chances to 25% with one embryo.
I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed some more. We are only going to do IVF this once, so it's my only chance, and I want to know that we gave it 100%.
So, in the biggest act of love that my DH has done (since agreeing to do IVF in the first place) was make me call the Dr back and tell her we are going to transfer 2 embryos!! Can you believe it? I felt like I was ordering breakfast ..."I'll have 2 eggs please"

Anyway, our transfer is at 10:30 am tomorrow morning...I pray to God those embryos are still B , if not better.

yes That is so exciting!! Tomorrow morning, wow, I bet you get no sleep tonight!

Two eggs Shocked I remember you saying he was dead set against multiples. That is a wonderful thing he has done by deciding to go ahead with two.

Yay, I'm just so excited for you! I feel like it's happening to me!! (I know I'm a little crazy)

I think you should go ahead and take a 'before' picture tonight!

So....twins. That's a scary word, how do you feel about that?

Yeah! I wish you the best of luck with the transfer. I know a lot of women who have healthy babies by IVF.

OMG I am so happy for you!!!!!! I am so happy that your hubby agreed to go ahead with two. With my aunt they transfered two and they were both B's as well and she ended up with one baby. Just because they transfer two doesn't mean that you will have twins it really just gives you better chances of pregnancy. Although twins would be great since you are only doing this once.......this is gonna be the longest two weeks of your life I bet..lol

When your hubby agreed you must have just fell in love with him all over again....lol
So hopefully you are resting right now. Really try to take it easy for as long as you can (if its possible)

Good luck and I can't wait to hear some updates!

HI Girls!
Well...it's done. And you're right Christy, I woke up at 4am and couldn't fall back to sleep. I'm zonked.
I went to acupuncture before and after the transfer. I actually fell asleep in the second session.
The transfer went great. The most amazing 5 minutes of my life. The Dr said that was the best transfer he had ever seen (because my bladder was so full there was a very clear view of my uterus on the ultrasound). We saw him put the catheter in, and then... blooooop, the embryos popped out. There was a little white dot in the middle of my uterus. DH still can't stop talking about that moment. If it works, we'll be able to say we witness the moment our child(ren) were conceived. We transfered 2 B 8 celled embryos. The Dr said they looked really good. I think I'll sleep like a baby tonight for the first time in weeks.

So....now, the longest tww of my life....coupled by the possibility of TWINS!! OH my.
Honestly, I'd be ecstatic to have twins. I'm 39, and this is my last shot. DH is warming up to the idea. We'll see.
My blood test is scheduled for Dec 20th. They usually only do the BT 17 days after transfer, but that would take me to Christmas Eve, and all the labs are closed as well as the clinic, so luckily they are going to test me early.

I'm so excited.
Thanks so much you guys for all your encouraging words, they really get me through the day.

Baby dust to you all.

Oh my I am so excited for you!!!

Take care of yourself and try to keep your mind at ease the next two weeks. I hope you can, but I know that it will be hard for you to do.

Wow, I can't even imagine twins. I would be happy with twins, in fact, I have always wanted twins somewhat. I think it would be neat.

Its so awesome how dh is so excited about the whole process.

Take care and keep us posted...

So....have you tested yet? Mr. Green I know, I know, but I still would have tested already. (I'm just a little crazy like that)

How are you feeling? Are you taking it easy?

Dprssd,

Congrats on the transfer! I had the trigger shot on saturday, so we are pretty much on the same days in our 2ww. I will be thinking and praying for you daily. Keep us posted on any symptoms, we will all be so excited to hear!

ROFL
No...no test yet. I think because I had a HCG trigger shot, it would give me a false positive anyway...so I have to wait for the Blood Test. Darn.
No symptoms yet. But as you say, Prometrium gives you every pregnancy symptom in the book, so I'm trying to ignore them scared

I took today off of work...as they say to take it easy for 3 days after transfer....so just couching it...watching Oprah, reading my book Smile

MrsLtd....very exciting!!! When do you get the IUI? Keep us posted.

That's good, you take as much time off work as you can. What do you do?

How are you feeling now? (you know I'm going to ask you, like, everyday, right?)

Hi Christy
I feel fine. It's so hard to differentiate between prometrium symptoms and potential pregnancy symptoms! My bbs are huge and firm. Yesterday I had lots and lots of watery cm. My cp is in a weird position. Who knows...I won't know until a week from today. Mad
....although, I've read on another site that lots of people that have done IVF took HPTs and got a valid result...so I may try my one last FRER this weekend!

I work for a large telecommunications company as a Business Analyst. I can work from home if I want which is awesome. You can bet I will be working from home next thursday when I do my blood test just in case the results are not good scared
