I wondering if someone here could help me to decide if I should be taking a calcium supplement. I would like to try it because I have heard good benefits towards better bone health, but I have been skeptical for some time and I found one site called algae cal that seems good, but I know nothing about these sorts of things so if anybody could help me with this it would be much appreciated

thanks

Hello
The link did not work for me. However, I think taking calcium is a very good idea. Calcium is a mineral that will strengthen your bones and your teeth, and prevent osteoporosis. As we get older, our bones get weaker. Exercise and weight training is also a great way to strengthen the bones.

Your best bet is to talk to you doctor about the right calcium supplements first, but the ones that are naturally and less expensive but work well are Nature Made brand and OsCal Calcium. I use the calcium with the Vitamin D attached, my doctor told me that its better to have vit D and magnesium in the mix otherwise you dont get the benefit of the calcium intake. You can find these anywhere, even Target carries them.
