Q: Sick. Again. Leaving For the Doctor Soon. Question.

I've been getting really hot and then really cold, and getting nauseaus, so I called my OB's office to ask where they recommend I go, and they asked my doctor. He said to just come in and see him. So I'm going in at ten thirty which is in about a half hour so I can find out if it's pregnancy related and to get a doctor's note for work.

I have a question, also. If you're at your doctor and you ask for a sonogram, do they usually do it even if it's not scheduled? It's not a huge deal to me, I would just really like to see my baby again before the 24th (wow, how impatient am I?).

Thanks :]

It's possible that they could. It depends how necessary your doctor thinks it is and if there is a schedule opening for a radiologist. Don't worry about being impatient to see the baby...it's natural! Good luck with your visit.

It depends on your insurance whether they will do another sonogram/ultrasound. Some insurances only allow so many and you would have to pay out of pocket for any extras. If it's medically necessary insurance companies have no choice.

Good luck at your appointment

I know i was only allowed 2 US's with my insurance. I have medicade, and insurance through my work which i pay plenty for, and they would only give me 2. I think they have to have something wrong with the baby to do more than that for insurance to cover it. Good luck though. Sounds kinda like the flu to me. Did you get a shot?

Ive never heard any issues about insurance.. i had several with Jacob, and with Caitlyn i had one every 2 weeks. All i had to do was ask and if the office was pretty slow and didnt have many other appointments waiting for the ultrasound room, they'd do it. Never mentioned insurance.
