Q: a Friend With Hiv

I was cooking once with my friend that has hiv and her saliva came in contact with what I was cooking. I know everyone says you can't get it that way but I am still worried about having hiv...

You cannot get it that way, but if you are worried get tested so you that you can relax a bit.

I'm not sure about saliva getting in contact with food you eat, but I do know that there are possibilities of contracting aids through saliva, directly, because when we are taking swabs for our life insurance policies, we test for aids/hiv from the swab.

Risk Level- Low
Almost impossible. Unless you have bleeding gums, I wouldn't worry.
