burning sensation on tongue, toes, mouth, eyelids Posted: 12-07-07 06:49am
I am a 54 year old menopausal woman, with
an underactive thyroid (which has been
tested and found to be satisfactory with
the medication prescribed for this).
I started with a tingling burning
sensation in my tongue and toes then
burning became more intense inside my
mouth, it then went into the bottom of my
nostrils and the inside corner of my
eyelids. Now its burning where my nails
meet the fingers and toes and now sharp
stabbing pains.
I,ve seen the doctor several times and
after being tested for pernicious anaemia,
diabetes, vitamin deficiency and liver and
kidney functions with negative results,
and I am now waiting for my doctor to
contact a specialist (neuroligist I think
she said) to check to see if she has
tested me for everything before referring
me on. Other than this my doctor is at a
loss to the cause of this.

Burning toe and mouth. Posted: 05-08-08 07:04am
Have you gotten any answers to this? I
have been suffering with the same
conditions except for the eyes. It started
in Sept. of 2007. All test run come back
fine except for low B6. Do you have a
metallic taste in your mouth and does your
mouth start to burn after your toe does? I
think at times I'm losing my mind.
