blood rush to face, ears and cheeks hot, why? Posted: 12-05-07 17:45pm
Well this isn't too much of a serious
question because I'm not worried about
it... but over the last few weeks just
randomly throughout the day all the blood
rushes to my face like I'm blushing. My
ears and cheeks get red and hot to the
touch, then after a minute or two the
blood drains out but my face still feels
hot.
It's weird, and it's been happening more
frequently. Anyone have any clue why?

I get something very similar, when I stand
up to quick I black out and my face feels
hot and I blush. My doctor said I have
hypotension because of my increased blood
volume due to my pregnancy.
What I do that really works well, is when
i stand up and fell kinda woozy, I grab a
drink and down it... and the next time I
stand up I'm fine : ) Just keep hydrated.

you are still losing water from your
pregnancy. It's pretty normal. I would
wake up sweating to death almost every
night. I would break a sweat walking to
the bathroom. It lasted for about a
month.

I'm always back and forth between freezing
cold and sweating hot... so much fun. That
sounds exactly what I have. And nothing
brings it on either. Just sit there and
BOOM, feels like you just got embarrassed.
I blame it on the extra volume of blood.
