Easy Sugar Cookies
Makes about 4 dozen

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

we had two..but gave 1 back to Robs parents..

Sadie is almost 1, shes a terrier/border collie mix, female.
she chews EVERYTHING.. the chew toys we get her are gone within a day. SO then she goes to the kids toys.. which we bought huge tupperware containers so that she cant get to them now.. so the phone jack i guess was her next option. She even chewed thru the cords. SO now the phone company has to come out and fix it.. thankfully we have insurance on our phone line or else we'd have a LOT to pay for.

I think the easiest cookies I've made, besides the refrigerated kind are made from a cake mix.

1 box cake mix, whatever flavor (18.25oz size)
1/2 C. oil
1 egg

Mix all ingredients and bake at 350* for 8-10 minutes, but keep an eye on them
