My wife has had diabetes for more than 20 years. She's only 29 years old.....But last week was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease....And has been put on a transplant waiting list. We live in ohio.....But she's back now with her family undergoing dialysis. I want to quit my job and move to be with her.....But I cant because of the health insurance. I'm currently paying 400 dollars a month for health insurance. Does anyone know how I could go about getting coverage for the both of us at somewhere in that same 4 to 5 hundred dollar ball park? Or is that not possible? Any help or suggestions you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Im currently in search of health insurance, I cant believe what it cost in my area we have blue cross blue shield and they offer programs in my area its called blue cross blue chip, and its for people who make to much for medicaid but its basicaly a low cost or free insurance program depending on your income if you go to Bluecrossblueshield.Com it will come up with a list of states put in your area code, and it will list all the programs they offer they might have somehing available in your state, also I went on to Healthinsurance. Com and it list a bunch of different companies that will give you qotes, fortis health insurance has alot of polices for $160.00 a month just play around on the net and youll see all the different insurance companies , sorry to hear about your wife I hope things go well for your family

Your best bet is to keep your job and your current coverage. Even if you get another policy it will not cover "pre-existing conditions" which means that your wifes current medical conditions will not be covered at all. Unless you can get on the medical card (the welfare health coverage I am not sure of the name) but you have to have a very low income for that.
