Q: If It's a Girl

I'm thinking about calling her Lilly. As some of you may remember Jesse's mom passed away in June and her name was Lillian. I'm really leaning towards that to have her name carry on, but I'm nervous to talk to Jesse about it. He doesn't talk much about her. I can barely speak her name without crying. I really want this though, so I'll have to bring it up even though it'll be tough. What's a good middle name?

I think Lilly is a really pretty name and a wonderful way to honour Jesse's mother!

No idea about middle names.

When do you find out what you've got in there?

Would you go with Lilly or Lillian? I absolutely LOVE both names, but prefer Lilly spelled as Lily instead.
Now, middle name ideas.

Lilly Grace
Lilly Catherine/Katherine/Catharine/Katharine/Ca thryn/Kathryn
Lilly Marie
Lilly Jane
Lilly Nicole
Lilly Charlotte
Lilly Kathleen/Cathleen
Lilly Elaine
Lilly Justine
Lilly Patricia
Lilly Margaret
Lilly Vivienne/Vivian
Lilly Danielle/Daniella

I just kinda brought it up to Jesse. He's at work tonight and I just called him. He said no b/c it reminded him of a girl his sister use to be friends with. He's such a freak.
He said he'd think about it.
I'm thinking about Layla also, but Lily keeps coming back to me. I feel like I have to do it.

i love lilly. maybe jesse would like it for a middle name?

lilly rose keeps popping into my head, but i guess it's kind of lame since they're both flowers.

Perhaps he'd be more agreeable to using Lilly or Lillian as a middle name to honor his mother. When I was pregnant with my youngest, I wanted to name her Elsie Grace (Elsie after my favorite grandmother and Grace after my mom's favorite grandmother). He wouldn't go for the Elsie, but we kept the Grace..Now I kind of regret not pushing more, but I love her name as it is anyway..
