Hi everyone.

I've had a total of four seizures, one while on medication and three while unmedicated. I am diagnosed with a partial-complex seizure disorder. I have been taking Trileptal 600mg 2x a day for almost 8 years. I've always felt 'different' while taking this medication. I constantly feel tired, get bad headaches, and have difficulty concentrating for long periods of time. After reading more about the side effects of Trileptal, I realized I suffer from most of them. While they do not hinder my life completely, they are incredibly annoying.

Since I have not had a seizure in 6 years, I am curious to see how I would feel while not on Trileptal. I wonder if the headaches will stop and if my concentration will increase, among other things

I am very healthy. I run 3x a week and eat healthy meals. I don't drink alcohol, smoke, or do drugs.

I realize that it is possible that I will have another seizure if I go off Trileptal. However, I want to see how I feel while not on the meds.

Before I talk with my doctor, I would like to hear from people who have gone off their meds, especially Trileptal. I would appreciate any comments and advice.

Thanks.
