Q: Clothes...

So, now that it's FINALLY getting cold down here (at lease for THIS week), I'm in desperate need of maternity clothes.

I have shirts but none of them are maternity and they're all shrinking RAPIDLY as my belly grows. And NONE of them are quarter/long sleeved!!!

I went and splurged on Baron & Oni for winter clothes and TOTALLY ignored my own needs!!!!

So yesterday we went to Target. Because what I really needed was a jacket that would fit over my belly, but not look GINORMOUS on the rest of me.

The maternity section was POOP!! So, we just went to the plus size section and that selection sucked royally as well. I decided that I would just freeze and started to leave.

Baron wasn't having that. He was sooo supportive and tried suggesting some cute zip up cardigans. I found one that I liked, got it in XL and tried it on. It fit, but will it fit in 2 months?? DOOOOUBT it!! But I got it anyways!!

He also found me a rack of clearance clothes that were long sleeved and in bigger sizes. So I got 2 long sleeved shirts (not maternity) in XXL. Cuz the XL just wasn't cuttin it!!!!

Sorry about how long this is, I just needed to vent.
I love EVERY aspect of this pregnancy. It couldn't go any better. I just get REALLY frustrated when NOTHING fits!!!!!!!

Thanks for listening!

I would LOVE to go on there and splurge on maternity clothes. But I'm almost done with this pregnancy and would HATE to waste money on them.

I mean, i'd order it and it would prob take a couple weeks to get here. By then, I'd only have about 4 weeks left. Maybe 2.

I know I can wear them after I have the bebe, I just don't like to cuz it makes me feel like I'm ok with still looking pregnant. I'm retarded....I know! LOL!!

I'm also VERY cheap when it comes to myself. I don't work and I don't like feeling like I'm spending BARON'S money. He literally YELLS at me when I say that. He looks at it as OUR money and gets SUPER mad when I don't buy things for me but for him & Oni!

I'm not buying ONE new outfit for this baby girl. I'm too frugle(sp?) for my own good sometimes!!!

LOL! Ya like that don't cha?! HAHAHAHA!!

It's not that I'm really that frugle, I'm just not materialistic at ALL. I go with the BARE minimums for everything. Baron literally has to MAKE me go all out when I don't want to!! I'll go MONTHS without buying ANYTHING (but groceries), and he forces me to buy myself something. Or buy something for the house!

Oni NEVER gets new toys. Only for Christmas and her Birthday! LOL...I'm a MEAN mommy!!!

No you are right. Toys are such a waste of money and most of them they don't even play with them. Christian got so many toys for his bday and I hate every single toy. I prefer letting him play with tupperware or pots ..lol

LOL!!! Oni would prefer to sit and read than play with noisy toys.

She still plays with her learning table that she got when she was 8 months old!!!

SHe's alll into the baby dolls and giving them they're nunu's and bottle. I'd rather her play with that to get ready for her lil siter than an aggravating ass toy!!

Baron's mom is ALWAYS buying her some new toy "because you don't EVER buy her anything!" So I let her keep them at HER house cuz I sure ain't tryin to have all that clutter at MINES!! LOL!

I'll buy Oni a new cup and treat it like it's a toy!! LOL!

Well, you feed her, shelter her, hold her, teach her ...I think that your doing what your supposed to do. Toys don't teach them anything or help thier development one bit. I also prefer he flips page of his books or watches his baby einstein than play all day with noisy toys! LOL a cup is a toy for them...why do you think I don't mind he plays with the tupperware? its colorful and non toxic and NON NOISY!!!! lol

LOL!!

With the toys she DOES have, I let the batteries run out and say "oh well, it's broken!!" And she'll ignore it after that!!!

i know i'm in the same boat. I just went to the goodwill and bought 3 pairs of jeans. I cut out the belly section and sewed in stretchy material and they work pretty good for maternity clothes.

Then I've been also wearing longer shirts that cover the zipper of my pants and just letting them stay open alll day. Smile Nobody can tell but me. hee hee

i need maternity tops in a bad way. i'm still in my pre-preg jeans, i just leave them undone and use a bella band to keep them up. i could still button them if i really wanted but i'd be uncomfortable and feel like i was squishing the baby. i have no shirts to wear to work, the tops i've been wearing make me look fat and not pregnant. i want maternity tops so i'm more obviously pregnant! i can't find any that fit my boobs and are flattering though.

why can't we just wear pajamas all the time?

I like Loft maternity but its a bit pricey. And walmart and targets sections BLOW so yeah.. Kmart isnt too bad tho.

I did the same thing. The coldness snuck up on us, so I wore my pants I had Ava's pregnancy and some bigger shirts until I could get a jacket.
