So I called my mom yesterday because my wisdom tooth has been catching LOADS of food and it's REALLY starting to annoy me!!

I cleaned it out yesterday after I ate, and it felt REALLY jagged. So I just KNEW it would be decayed and have to be pulled.

So, me & Oni went in this morning and had both of my top wisdom teeth checked out. And low and behold, I have to have them BOTH removed!!! With wisdom teeth, if they DO come out, they normally get decayed because they're not easily reached. ANd wind up needing to be pulled. As performing a filling WAAAAY back there isn't worth ANYONE'S time.

THANKFULLY it can wait another 8 weeks to be pulled, cuz I NEED Nitrous to have these extractions done.

My mom also found that I'm in the beginning stages of pregnancy induced Gingivitis. Shocked

Soooo, I've been put on Antibiotics (4 times a day) to heal the gingivitis and prevent further infection of my wisdom tooth. Both of these things can have a negative effect on my baba.

what SUCKS, is that I was JUST at the dentist to have a filling done about a month and a half ago! Why didn't he just check all my teeth then??! I was like 25 weeks preggy!

GRRRR!!! This BLOWS!!

I hope they don't either!! I asked my mom to list the pro's and cons of waiting and it made more sense to wait.

THe anxiety of having to have 2 teeth pulled at once, without nitrous, would probably put me into labor. LOL! The time it would take to heal, due to the pregnancy, would be about 3 times longer. And I wouldn't be able to take anything BUT tylenol for the pain afterwards.

I knew that my gums would bleed. They did for Oni. I figured it was normal. Ya know? But when my mom got in there and barely touched my gums, they started gushing. And that's not good. Common, but not good.

Baron hadn't been to the dentist EVER until he met me. Of course, he has NO cavaties. I go every 6 months religiously, and seem to have a cavity EVERY effing time!!!!! Genetics blows!! I can thank my dad for my dental issues!!

I don't floss. I KNOW I should, and I KNOW I need too. I just don't. I take WAAAAY better care of Oni's teeth than I do my own!!

Me neither...I'm deadly afraid of dentists. The last time I went I had my front teeth capped because some stupid ho bag decided to flip her hair while I was drinking a beer and chipped all my front teeth. I don't even like beer , It was just a sip and got my teeth broken for it!

I went because i couldnt live with chipped teeth and had all my teeth filled, cleaned and capped and I know I should be visiting but i am soooooooo afraid..I would rather give birth naturally to 15 lbs baby than visit a dentist....

I've always had a fear of needles. So when I go to the Dentist, i'm an avid believer of Nitrous!! I swear, it's the best, LEGAL high a person could get!!!!!

You wake up, and they're DONE!!!

I had the same thing happen to my front teeth, just not chipped by a glass. So I know the pain you went through with that. I had veneers put on about 3 years ago! I have celebrity teefuses now!! LOL!!

It's not the dentist, the drill, or any of that that bothers me. It's the needles. I REFUSE to have them...but in these cases NEED them. So I get the Nitrous and out I gooooo!!! LOL!

Yeah me too. The last time I was so nervous they had to keep giving needle after needle because it was not taking affect. Having a giant needle in your gums is the worst! I had two assistants holding me down!

Even Nitrous wasn't enough for THAT pain. I was in TOTAL LALA land and sprang up when they put the needle in my gums!!!

I was crying my eyes out!!!! And I'm not some broad that can't take pain...

That !**@! huuuuuurts!!

So that's why I'm going to wait till I have this bebe to have the 2 teeth pulled.

Hopeully these antibiotics will keep my bebe safe!!!! I don't want pre term labor OR a tiny bebe!!!

If you ever have tooth aches just put some tylenol directly on the tooth and let it melt and also try baby orajel....it will help.

I hate the drill. I can handle the needles and everything else a dentist can dish out. I can't stand the sound of the drill. Oh and the smell of drilled teeth makes me cringe.

I hate going to the dentist also. I went once when I was pregnant to get my teeth cleaned & that was the first time in like 10 years. They told me I had to get this teeth pulled & that tooth filled & that I might possibly need a root canal. Needless to say I haven't been back since. I really need to go though because my wisdom teeth are going all different directions. One stabs into my cheek, the other one is all screwed up. I hate my teeth.

Sarah i didnt know your mom was a dentist!

My wisdom teeth are coming in, and they're actually putting a lot of pressure on the teeth beside them, and literally messing them up.. I need to go to the dentist and get the teeth in front of the wisdom teeth pulled because one of them is really badly damaged now, and the other side, i had a flouride treatment done several years ago, and was told not to chew ice because it could chip it off and do damage to the tooth.. well lets just say i didnt listen and now one of my teeth in the back is half gone :-O im terrified to go to the dentist tho.. i HATE being in pain.

I hate the dentists tooooooo! They always give me the needle several times because it doesnt take effect, why cant they just increase the amount of the numbing stuff in the first injection!?
I haven't been since sometime before I was pregnant with Jay, 6+ years ago. I take Jay for a check up every 6 months though ofcourse Smile
