i am trying to get pregnant. i had a miscarriage 3 months ago and have been trying since then to get pregnant. I know that i have a 30 day cycle and i should ovulate between 14 and 16 days. i also know that to increase my chance, i should put a pillow under my buttox after sex and lay like that for about 20 minutes. is there anything else i can to to increase my chances.

Having miscarried three months before, it might have taken at least those three months for your body to adjust to becoming not pregnant again. Just give yourself time. A miscarriage is not something to be taken lightly and can have almost the same after-effects with your hormonal levels as a real life birth.

Putting a pillow under your hips may increase your chances, but make sure that it isn't elevating your hips too much or you may cause the sperm to pass your cervix by. There are special pillows that you can use just for this purpose. Lying down can be sufficient too, and so is aiming for deep penetration.

The time of ovulation doesn't last more than a day and you could miss it altogether. Viable sperm can last within you even up to three days, so you can even begin TCC two three days before you are ovulating.

With the information you give it is hard to tell what your case might be. If you don't plan on what will happen, you shouldn't even start to have sex or even a little foreplay, since things most often get out of hand, as it did in your case.

You may or may not feel a rush, but if he was inside of you, he could have introduced sperm into your cervix whether he ejaculated or not.

A pregnancy test will not be able to tell you if you are pregnant or not until your body contains the right levels of the pregnancy hormones, which won't be apparent on a test until almost the time of your period.

It's going to be a long wait, but you will have to. When you think you have missed your period, get the test.
