We did sweet pototoes first. Just be careful because they made Kaylee extremely gassy! After that I do believe we went to peas, but I can't remember hardly anything from back then lol, memory is shot!

I did the sweet potatoes, then carrots and then peas. However some babies won't like peas if they have them once they have tried sweet potatoes because they get used to the sweet taste and then it makes them have a preference for it. I know my daughter sure didn't like them much after....lol But then again who likes peas....lol

It's SO good, I get the canned peas so just drain the juice out of the can & put milk & butter in the pan with them.. I could go for some right now Smile

We were told to do the green veggies first. Because the other ones are sweeter.. maybe ask your dr. what they suggest

How much milk do you use and how long do you cook them for?

After I drain the peas & put them in the pan I usually fill the can up with milk & that's how much I use. Then just a teaspoon or so of butter if you want. I normally just cook them until they're warm or until the milk starts to boil a little.

This might sound like a stupid question but do you drain the milk afterwards or do you serve it like that? Sorry for all the questions

finn started with sweet potatoes, then i think we moved on to apples. after that he just started getting all the stage 1 fruits and vegetables. bananas constipated him (but he eats them practically every day now with no problem) and he hated green beans, other than that we had no issues.

you can start with anything that is labeled stage 1. Carrots do turn you orange if you eat them everyday...same reason flamingos are pink due to eating shrimps all day.

anything that is pureed is fine, dont get hung up on what you are supose to do, just go with your gut

we started val on sweet potatoes because she had her first meal on thanksgiving

since then shes had peas greenbeans carrots (which all give her a stomach ache) pears apples and bananas

and of course rice, but shes been getting that since she was like 2 monthes because her reflux is so bad

have fun...oh and id advise either taking her clothes off to feed her or (since it getting cold) putting a big plastic bib on her, cause it most likely WILL be messy
