Good morning everyone,
for being my very first listing, its kind of a tough one. However, I am hoping someone here might be able to shed some light on it for me. Would anyone know of or have heard of a very rare blood disorder in which the blood is unable to absorb iron what-so-ever? It is not thalassemia, iron overload secondary, hemochromatosis or anemia. Like I said, it is not a condition of insufficient iron in the blood or too much iron in the blood. It is a case in which the individual has twice the amount of iron in their body as their blood is incapable of absorbing it at all. And she has been told by a physician that there is really nothing that can be done to get rid of the rather high amount of iron in her body. I would greatly appreciate any help in regards to knowing exactly what this disease is or even any information that might help me to research it.
Thanks...
Gabe
