For a successful abortion, there is also cetain precentage of incomplete abortion, may I ask: for an incomplete abortion, what are the signs? When the breast tenderness will be EASED?

Hi neigle. I'm not sure of the signs of an incomplete abortion, but the failure rate is quite low. Somewhere around 7%. As for the breast tenderness, mine actually got worse in the days afterward. The pregnancy hormone hangs around for a few weeks after the abortion. So the pregnancy symptoms may still happen. Don't take those symptoms as meaning that the abortion didn't work. Signs of an incomplete abortion would be similar to signs of an infection. Foul smelling discharge coming from the vagina, and a VERY high fever.

It is NORMAL to have slight fever during an abortion. ANYTHING over 101 degrees F for longer than one day would be a danger sign.

IF she went to the hospital, they would not know she had an abortion, because there is no way to tell.

That is normal.

Breast tenderness will stay until all of the pregnancy hormones are gone from her body, which can take a few weeks,

We have done a Blood test yesterday(Dec. 4), which is 6 days after the Misoprostol is taken! Compared to the result of the blood test we took last Monday (Nov 26), which is 3 days before we took the Misoprostol (it was taken on Nov 29, 10 pm), the result has showed a growth!
In brief:
1st blood test on Nov 26 afternoon, Misoprostol taken on Nov 29, 10 pm, 2nd blood test on Dec 4 morning, 2nd test gave a higher HCG result!

Is it means a continuing pregnancy? Or what should we do now, if Ultrasound test is not available recently! So nervous!! DID find blood clots, almost stop bleeding today…seems everything working well….

She may still have HCG in her system because it takes a long time from it to get from the uterus into the blood and then into the urine; so you could get positive tests for a week or more!

I had pregnancy symptoms for a month after my abortion. (especially breast tenderness) Mine hurt so bad, that the doctor recomended that I wrap them with bandages to help me sleep. The doctor mentioned that you can have a positive test for up to 4 weeks afterward, so don't worry. It sounds like everything is going well for you guys so far.

IT IS NORMAL THAT THERE WAS GROWTH in hormone levels!! This is because the hormones DOUBLE IN SIZE every few days, and she had an abortion AFTER the hormones doubled.

Taking TOO much cytotec can cause UTERUS TO RUPTURE, WHICH CAN KILL A WOMAN.

Had the Ultrasound test yesterday, the embryo is still there and some tissues, doctor said probably she underwent a miscarriage for a twin situation, and she still keeping one…the embryo is now 3.4mm long…. It is so agonizing,
We decided to try again, we are advised by some ppl to use Misoprostol 3 dose, repeat 800mg every 24 hrs, after the first dose, there was heavy bleeding and we found a sac-liked tissue passed already, but still took another dose, but the second dose induced very little bleeding, and bleeding became lightly already as the second day of the Misoprostol treatment…

Is there anything we are doing wrong? Will bleeding become lightly when the abortion is succeeded?

Yes, of course the bleeding will lighten up after a successful abortion because there is no more tissue inside of her to come out.

Hi. I'm new here. I need help so bad. I took 200mg mifepristone yesterday 8:00 am. After 1 hr i placed 300mg of cytotec vaginally and drink 200mg at the same time. And same process I followed to drink 200mg mifepristone and 200mg cytotec at 1:00 pm which i was starting to have a light blood passing on my vagina. Then I search on net about having an abortion and I found out that the process I did was different from here. So at 4:30 pm i took 400mg cytotec on my mouth bucally. I drink 200 mifepristone at 6:30. That was the last dosage i did. I still have cytotec and mifepristone but i don't know if I will still use it or do the process again. I'm still bleeding until now not so hard but If i sit down to the toilet it's passing out. I don't know If what I did was right. I don't know if what I did is successful.

My problem is, my boyfriend didn't know that I'm trying to abort our baby. He really wants to have it but I'm not ready so I didn't tell him what I did. He wants me to go to the hospital. If you've read through the posts you now know how to take it. However, it sounds like the massive amounts you took even incorrectly have caused an abortion to at least begin.

You DO need to go see a doctor in order to confirm that all of the pregnancy material has passed out of your body otherwise you can get very sick and die.

The doctor cannot tell you have aborted.

I'm still bleeding till now just like a normal 3rd or 4th day of my period. I forgot to mention on my 1st post that I started a painful cramping (it's like having a labor), vaginal bleeding and diarrhea yesterday by 1:00 pm. The diarrhea end by 9:00 pm yesterday. I'm 5-6 weeks pregnant. 2 weeks delayed and I tried pregnancy test twice before I did the process. Anyway, today, I don't feel any pain anymore, no cramping, no diarrhea but slight bleeding. I want to know if It's normal for 2nd day after doing the process? WAS IT SUCCESSFUL? OR DO I HAVE TO REPEAT THE PROCESS (THE RIGHT ONE) AGAIN?

Yes, maybe I'll see the doctor later If I really don't feel well and for an ultrasound.
