Q: Alesse/aviane Question...need Answer Asap

I have been taking Aviane (generic for Alesse) for about 6 years now. I am good with taking my pills but this week (my third week of active pills) I forgot to take 2 pills in a row. So on Friday, I took Wednesday's and Thursday's pills and then took Friday's pill at my regularly scheduled time. I noticed some spotting and took it as an effect of the missed pills. However, it is now Saturday (the day after) and it appears I am having my period, which I should not have until this coming Tuesday or Wednesday. I read on the Alesse website that if I miss 2 active pills in the third week I should continue taking the pills until Sunday (I am a Sunday starter) and then start a NEW pack. My question is, since it appears I am having a period should I still start a new pack this Sunday or just finish out the pack (the 4th week of non-active pills are still left)? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You!

You should follow the directions and start a new pack. It is not harmful to take the pills while bleeding. You need to do this to protect yourself from pregnancy.

START A NEW PACK Smile

ANY time you miss pills you risk bleeding, although it does not always happen to all women all of the time.
