I posted this in the bowel cancer section as I'm thinking cancer as worse case scenario. My wellbeing is fine.

For about a month, when I've gone to the toilet my sphincter has slightly stung when wiping and on the paper there has been a very small amounts of blood. I looked at my anus in the mirror (squatting over a small mirror is quite weird and for some reason intimidating! Glad nobody walked in!) and couldn't see any cuts but my sphincter was very slightly swollen. I'm pretty sure its not piles but I thought my stool may have been cutting it.

Anyway, I went to the toilet earlier and i passed a stool. It was going swimmingly and when i got up and looked in the toilet it was like a scene from jaws. The water in the bowl was bright red, although nothing on the paper.

As you can imagine, this was quite worrying and my body went faint.

Just wondered if anybody had a clue whats wrong with me!
