me either, i was gone for a few monthes because of personal issues (didnt have internet, then conputer screwed up, husband gone, baby at docs all the time etc etc)

i left when everyone would just lay into girls like that, telling them to grow up first and whatnot, i come back 4 (ish) monthes later and now no one seems to care

i thought this was something we discouraged here....i know its something i discourage on my own

meh whatever

I was here about a year ago problaly under future_claudio and this board has totally changed.... Yes we are all young mothers or will be... but to promote it..and try and get pregnant.. I dont regret my little boy for anything in the world... but it isnt easy trying to pay bills by yourself..and go to school....raise my child and go to work...If i had a choice I would have had my little one..when i was at least 23... have my life set up and stuf..... its hard..

I strongly suggest you ladies take another look. The ttc threads were started by teenagers, and the only ones supporting them are other teenagers. There are many posts here from people trying to discourage them.

It's not, and never has been. A few teenagers are here who are ttc, but that doesn't mean the board supports that. We don't ban people who are young and ttc, so there's not much we can do except try to talk them out of it.

The forum hasn't changed. The people that come to the forum have. There have always been "I'm 14 and I want a baby" posts... we're just getting more than usual here lately.

I do my best to discourage it, as much as i love Mika if i could turn back time i would have made sure there was no way that i could have got pregnant. I will always support teenage parents because i know just how hard it is but to willingly put yourself in the situation of not finishing school, getting into debt and relying on your family or the government to pay for your baby is alien to me. I don't like having to live with my parents and be apart from Dom or claim benifits but for now that's the way it has to be until Dom gets a full time job instead of his part time one. I really don't think that they girls that come on here wanting a baby have a clue what they would be letting themselves in for, my sister has two children so i've been around young children since i was 12 and that didn't prepare me in the slightest for my own child so it really annoys me when gils come on here saying 'i look after my neighbours children so i know i can have my own' because looking after a child for a few hours and then giving them back is no where near the same as a lifetime commitment to your own child who you can't just give back when you get bored

Indeed. It seems that any dissenting opinion is locked. I know I've had a few locked or outright deleted.

Futureshock, I don't always agree with you (or the way that you say certain things) but I do appreciate what you say on these boards and I wish that some of your threads that inspire real conversation were able to stick around for a real response (again, I often disagree with you but do enjoy the resulting conversation). Your contribution to this board is most definitely appreciated by at least one member! Don't go soft on me!
