Q: Tongue Bite

I was chewing gum and bite my tongue. The pain was so intense and the bleeding would not stop. I can not eat, drink anything with out feeling some kind of pain. It even hurts to talk. I have really bad pain in my ear and eye, that my vision is bothering me now. I have trouble sleeping.
I was told that the human bite is the worst thing there is because of the germs in the mouth. Please, some help would be appreciated. I am so miserable. My tongue is swollen, bruised and hurts really bad.
Thanks!

I would say suck on some ice and hope that the swelling goes down/that numbs the pain. However, if you are worried about infection then go to a doctor asap! How deep was the bite? How long did it take to stop bleeding?

hey at least it is your own bite-- I would go in to see a doctor and id also use some kind of mouth wash--biotene is pretty gentle and is made specifically for wounds in the mouth
