Worried about sex life - have pain in my lower abdominal region

 omg about a week
ago my boyfriend and I had sex and it was
wonderful. During intercourse I was on top
and there was no pain at all. When we
finished and I went to use the bathroom I
started to feel excruciating pain in my
lower abdominal region. I was curled up on
the bed all night I'm pain while he rubbed
my tummy. The pain was nearly enough to go
to the ER. The very next time we had sex
my vagina was extremely dry and it was
difficult for him to penetrate. The sex
was painful and awful. It almost made me
cry from embarrassment. The next day or so
my cycle came as normal and went off just
a few days ago. Last night when we had sex
it felt better, but there was still some
pain and it was dryer than normal. Also
when I was on top it felt like he was
hitting against my pelvic bone. I am
extremely worried about our sex life. I
asked him how it felt and he said awesome.
I'm not too sure. I'm more worried about
my sexual health. I really don't know what
to think! Can someone plz help???

If it is burning or painful, you might
have a yeast infection. You should go to
your doctor about that.
However, you mention you feel really dry.
Having sex while dry can cause a lot of
pain. The friction will burn. If he is
going too deep and hitting your cervix, he
may be bruising it. That could be the
cause for the extreme pain.
Try having a lot of foreplay so you can
get wet. Also, try using a lube. It may
help out a lot!
If you think the pain is from something
other than not being wet however,
definitely go see a doctor.

Could also be a side issue if you do not
have any medical conditions prevailing.
Sometimes, partners have to get use to
each other's size and try to incorporate
accommodating positions that are not
painful for the female, especially those
that come in large to extra large.

It's not a burning pain. It an abdominal
cramping pain!
Thanks you guys I'll check into it. I
guess the best way to find out if there's
something wrong is to go see a Dr.

Hey moderators, why is there not a contact
us icon that is easy to find??????????? Is
it just me or is this site not user
friendly. I never have a notice on my
profile when someone is replying to my
posts. unlike my other sites. I dont even
know where to post this to get assistance.

She wasn't sure where to post her
problem/question and how to contact the
moderators. She wasn't trying to
disrespect you. We are still all here to
help and give the best advice we can.
Has the pain stopped? Have you gone to a
doctor?

If your gyno doesn't help you, you might
want to check into the help of a sex
therapist- they have more specific
knowledge for actual sex.

I get this too but its usually like the
day after sex or at least like 5 hours
after... I am going to get mine checked
out this week. From googling I am thinking
it could be PID (Pelvic inflamatory
disorder) or Endometriosis? I hope not tho
 I will let u know
if i find anything out

Thank you guys so much. I'm not able to
see my doctor right now because of
insurance issues! Does anyone know about
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease? That really
scares me!

The exact same thing happened to
me--excrutiating abdominal pain
immediately after intercourse. So bad I
went to the er. It was a tubal infection
from my IUD. My OB/GYN was there and
removed the IUD (so painful) and admitted
me for a few days. My first son was 1 yr
then. It recurred a couple of times, less
severely. I could always tell when it was
coming back--I'd get a sharp pain in my
abdomen coming up through my rectum when
I'd sit down, then a burning pain would
linger.
After a few months of that, they did a
laporoscopic exam and found scaring. It
left scaring in the tubes too; it took 2
yrs to get pregnant with the second of my
2 sons (no daughters). With the first one
I got pregnant as soon as I stopped taking
birth control pills.
The first son, btw, is about to present me
with a third grandchild next month, a
girl, after 2 grandsons (whom I adore).
I'm so giddy, I was in Macy's yesterday,
and after years of looking longingly at
all the adorable stuff for little girls, I
threw myself into it whole hog. I
couldn't stop smiling.
I think that kind of pain can also be from
a uti or possibly an ovarian cyst. And
insurance-problems-wise, is there maybe a
clinic you can go to? At any rate, I hope
it either goes away or you can do
something about soon. Good luck.

Congrats on ur grand baby! It sounds like
you went through a lot! There is a clinic
called Franklin C. Fetter clinics in the
city where I live, unfortunately SC
doesn't have a state wide health plan! But
I will check them out asap! The pain never
came back, but our sex just isn't the
same. My vagina isn't as moist and when he
penetrates it feels like he's hitting
something. I asked him what it feels like
and he describes it as "heaven". I'm still
not too sure. I do feel a little pain
during intercourse and sex isn't as
comfortable as it used to be. We've been
together for 9 months and have a lot of
sex so I pay attention to everything. I
find myself feeling anxious before sex and
I can't totally relax from fear of that
pain coming back. What do you guys think?
