Epileptics - Twitching While Going to Sleep? Posted: 11-29-07 19:50pm
I have an epileptic friend and he twitches
a lot while he is going to sleep. I mean
I'll ocassionally twitch while I'm
drifting off, but he... he'll be still for
maybe a minute or so but then he'll twitch
somewhere every 10 seconds or so.
I was wondering if this is a result of
epilepsy?

hi there. my husband has epilepsy and he
twitches at night to. his doctor told us
is was because of his epilepsy. it could
be from you muscles trying to relax. i
don't know if that helps you, but you
might talk to you doctor about it.

i get twitches, but they arent generaly
from epilepsy...i think. i had drifted off
last night and had a very large twitch
resulting in me leaping out of bed, then i
realsied i had dreamed i fell down the
stairs haha. i do however get mild ones
during the stress of the day or during
lack of sleep.
