I had a fall four years ago and injured my knees. I had a number of arthoscopies but finally was given a half knee replacement in the right knee. Four months later after returning to work the knee became very swollen and painful. After another arthroscopy the half knee was taken out and a whole new knee inserted. One year on and after loads of physio etc. I was still walking with a stick and in pain. The surgeon couldn't understand it and the blame was placed on scar tissue. More ultra sound but still in pain. Two months ago I visited a chiropractor who afer a couple of visits informed me that the problem was an injured fibular head. This would have happened at the time of the fall, but had not been noticed (apparently difficult to assess). There is now talk of the fibular head being removed. My question is has anyone else had this operation and was it successful. Thanks in anticipation.
