Spotting bleeding and cannot predict ovulation
Posted: 11-29-07 11:33am

OK. I am a bit worried and could use some advice. On october 13 I got my regular period right on schedule. I am usually about 28 days. I am trying to get pregnant so my husband and i have been closely monitoring dates and such. So regular period on Oct 13. Then on the 28th of Oct, I start bleeding again for about four days. Then, Nov 19, have another reguar period. Then today, Nov 29, I start bleeding again. Yesterday I was spotting but this moring i was actually bleeding. Took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came out negative. Have lost total control of being able to predict ovualtion. My husband has not ejaculatedin me since my period that started on Nov 19th. Any advice or ideas about what this is? I am inbetween insurances right now and won't have a doctor til mid december. Thanks.

First things first, if you are ttc and you aren't sure when you will be ovulating. You should always have him ejaculate in you, because you never know Wink

Soncondly, I understand your frustration. I've been there. When we first started ttc and I went off the pill, I was bleeding every 10-15 days. It was awful! And now I'm on day 90ish of no period...

Anyway, If you are having trouble knowing when you are ovulating (or not ovulating at all) I suggest you start tracking your bbt (basal body temperature) You take your temp first thing in the morning with a bbt thermometer and put it in a chart. You can tell when/if you are ovulatin by this. And it is pretty much the only way to know.

It is pretty easy to do. And the best part is it only costs about $7 for the thermometer and that is it! So, you don't need to worry about insurance.

Go to fertilityfriend.com. They offer free charting. When you sign up they give you a tutorial on how to do it, and what different things mean. A lot of us here chart so if you have any questions, we should be able to help!

I also suggest you start taking prenatal vitamins if you aren't doing so already Wink

Good luck!

I sometimes think that trying to figure out ovulation makes it more of a chore. You should always have him ejaculate in you! That way, since you are unsure of when you are ovulating, there is a much higher chance that it may happen on its own.

As mc said, try charting your BBT. It should help out a lot. If you think you are close to ovulating, you can always take one of those ovulation tests (the kind where you pee on it like you would a pregnancy test and it tells you when you are fertile)

thank you. I am feeling so sick this morning. I have gotten naseaus three times already and i have only been up for an hour and a half. Maybe that's a good thing. Oh and i wanted to clear something up. when I said my husband hadn't ejaculated in me since whenever... I should have clarified with we hadn't had sex where he ejaculated at all since then. With all the messed up bleeding and then being with our family for the holiday, TTC hasn't been as easy
