Could someone confirm whether or not it is good or bad for the kidneys to drink huge quantities of water for someone who does not have great kidneys.

Doctors have told me to limit my fluid intake due to my kidney issues. The more I drink the more strain and pressure it puts on my kidneys. Due to my kidney disease it puts me in a tough situation when I get stones. I am in stage 3/4 kidney failure.
