Ive always had recurrent utis and some interstitial cystitis symptoms. i got really desperate a month or so ago and was searching the internet when i found this old English lady whose been preaching a method to cure utis for 20 years - what i got out of it was, embarrassingly, be really careful about, um..bowel movements. She recommends a very strict washing method after every bowel movement and after sex. Luckily, I work at home and started washing in the shower immediately after going to the bathroom and started rinsing with lots of water after sex (since i know soap isnt really good for the vagina.) As obvious as it sounds, and even though i consider myself a clean person, this really made a difference. Im getting them far less often. Apparently if you are a person with a small perineum, a few hours for those bacteria to travel can really affect you. Also, my doctor recommended at the slightest indication to take 2 days of antibiotics. This can also really help. Good luck to everyone!!
