I went to the doctor today and I found out
I have hypoglycemia. It means I have low
blood glucose. Its not the same as
diabetes but that is why I have been
fainting so much. She is also testing me
for diabetes early so I have to drink that
nasty orange stuff! does anyone know
where I can find some info about this? I
weight 117 now! That means ive gained 6
lbs! Cortez is really active! His
heartbeat was 158 bpm! I measuring 25 cm.

Heres some things I found:
*hypoglycemia
low blood sugar level. Premature infants,
infants of diabetic mothers and growth
restricted infants are more likely to have
low blood sugar levels than full-term
infants. *
*when exercising, take along sugar in the
form of hard, sugar-sweetened candies just
in case your blood sugar becomes too low.
*
*hypoglycemia -
a condition where the blood sugar is lower
than normal. This is a dangerous
condition and should be avoided or treated
rapidly*
thats all I could find on baby zone....
When do u take ur glucose test? U did
already?

My sis-in-law had it. She also had
hemaglobin trouble, utrus trouble and
such. My niece was 2 month premature but
very healthy and looking at her now, you'd
never know! I wouldn't worry too much.
Your doc will keep a good watch over
you!

Hey, I too am hypoglycemic..
The difference is that when you have
diabetes your blood sugar levels are too
high and hypo theyre too low. Both cases
you have special ways to keep them
level.
I dont like having it, but it doesnt
bother me too much.. Just when I dont eat
within about 2-3 hours I get really cold
and a stomach ache then I start shaking
and get dizzy and stuff, then as soon as I
eat im fine =)
just dont let yourself get to the point
where youre really hungry and you shouldnt
get any of those symptoms!
Good luck darling!

For that glucose test, thats the test
where they test u for gestational diabetes
right? What kinda stuff do u hafta drink
for it and how much of it do u hafta
drink? Do u get a choice on what kind to
drink? I heard that you have to sit there
for 2 and a half hours too after u take
the test, is that true?? Sorry I gotta go
for it soon and all i've heard is bad
stuff about it!

We only get orange crap. You have to wait
1 hour. My bottle says 10 oz.
Maybe its not bad for you guys but im sick
every single day. I faint almost
everyday. And I cant always eat cause I
work all the time. I thought there are
two types of diabetes. One where its too
high and one is where its too low and same
with this hypoglycemia-there is also
hyperglycemia.
Ikn!

Okay im going to try that jen! the reason I dont
want to make a big deal to my boss is
because I didnt tell them I was pregnant
then when I had to put on there shirt they
could tell! She acted okay but I could
tell she was kinda mad I didnt tell them
right away.
