Q: Cramp under rib cage

The other evening as I was laughing I developed a cramp in a spot that I can not describe a anything else but my left lung. It's under my rib cage but, it's not my diaphragm. This happened two night ago and although I've been trying to breathe deeply and stretch, I even did some accupressure on surrounding muscles to see if that would help, nothing has relieved me of the pain. It gets stronger when I'm laughing and then it is just an annoying pain evertime I take a breath or breathe out strongly... any ideas as to what this could be or how to get rid of it?
