Q: Labia Pain When Wearing Underwear

I was wondering if anyone has been in a situation similar to mine or has any insight.

I've had a problem with Bartholin Gland's cysts for about three years. I'm used to having pain from that so when I started to feel this new pain, I thought it was just that. Now I am wondering if it is something else.

Whenever I had a cyst or just pain in that area, I would, on my doctor's suggestion, wear very loose-fitting sweatpants and no underwear. I had to do this about a month and a half ago for a week when I was in a lot of pain. However, I haven't been able to get back to wearing jeans (and they're not even tight) or underwear for more than a few hours. If I wear jeans or underwear for a long time, I start to have labia pain (just on one side-- where I have my Bartholin's cysts problems so that makes me wonder whether it is still that).

Once, after sleeping in underwear, it hurt so much the next day that my sweatpants even brushing my labia would hurt.

There is some redness at times. I don't have any itching or burning. I recently went to see my doctor for a check-up on the Bartholin's cyst problem and told her about this... she gave me a medication for yeast infection, which I took. It hasn't gotten better.

Does anyone have any ideas?
