I have a relatively big (around 15 cm long and 5 cm wide) scar on my arm and shoulder. When I was one and a half I pured boiling water on myself and then I had to get skin transplant. I’m 16 now and the scar is really bothering me. It is clearly visible. Is there any way of removing it or at least making it less visible?

If yes, what type of anesthesia would be used? Are there any serious risks?

Plastic surgery operations do exist to remove scars or at least attempt to make scars smaller and less visible. You can consult a plastic surgeon about your case in particular. These surgeons generally use a general anesthesia during the operation. Be aware that there are always risks during any surgical intervention, including plastic surgeries. You can follow up with a surgeon herself to target possible solutions.
