Well the last day I got my period was September 28, I usually get it every month same time, along with everyone at my job. But nope, still havent got it. I've been taking tests weekly, comes out negative. We'll just have to wait and see what the doctor says this coming friday -my appointment. WISH ME LUCK.. its been long enough, hopefully im FINALLY pregnant.

I had a miscarriage at 15 when I first started dating my (now) fiance' - but that was 3 years ago. So, 3 years of unprotected sex later... maybe??

maybe
but if the test are neg then i wouldnt count on it
your body should be producing enough hormones by now to show up on the test acurately

also your young so your period could be irregular
its common and it happens. that may also be why you havent had your period

The problem (if there is one) could be with your fiance, and not you.

Sometimes stress can wreak havoc with hormones.
Are you in the middle of planning a wedding? That can be stressful, along with other things in your life.

No wedding yet, we've just started planning but not gotten very far. Although work is very stressful lately.

Stress does not delay a period for 2 months. In fact stress does not delay your period at all but rather ovulation which then delays your flow. However, if it was stress related it would have to be severe stress or severe change in exercise and still then she would have some breakthrough bleeding at some point. I think you could very well be pregnant and yes, there have been many cases where women do not get a positive ever from PT's. Best thing is get blood wrok done and have ur dr. examine you.

Well actually she's been ready since she was 15, according to her original post.

loversliexo, have you had any other symptoms of pregnancy, like morning sickness?

haha I def. wasn't ready at 15. I don't even know how I got pregnant back then but thats a dif. story.

..and yes i've had usual simptoms, somedays are morning sickness.. but mostly just the headaches, and i usually rarely get migraines.. but these past 2 months they've been egging on. Tender chest and what not. Thats about it, oh and being overly emotional. So I changed my doctors appt to tomorrow, its the only day I could get off and my fiance can come with me. So i'll post tomorrow with what the doctor thinks.

Yea a friend of mine and my sister when they were pregnant neither of them showed up on HPT's their whole pregnancy. I also have a friend now who is claiming she is 4 months, and the HPT's show up negative.. but she could just be pulling my leg.

when taken correctly after a missed period hpts are USUALLY and most likely effective and will give a acurate result
*sometimes* your body doesnt produce enough hormones to show up on an hpt. but that doesnt happen alot. alot of people think its common but its not as common as you think

I actually didn't mean because of the pregnancy at 15, I meant the unprotected sex you've been having since you were 15. Most people only have unprotected sex if they are ttc:

Those sound like symptoms of something. I'm glad you're seeing your doctor. Thanks for filling us in later.

Good luck!

Could a negative result be wrong?

More commonly, you can get a negative result from a home pregnancy test when you're actually pregnant. This is known as a false-negative. You may get a false-negative if you:

* Take the test too early. Wait to take the test until your period is at least one day late. That's the earliest most home pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy. For the most accurate results, take the test one week after a missed period.
* Time the test wrong. If you're collecting urine, do the test within 15 minutes of collecting the sample. And be sure to give the test time to work — but not too much time. You may want to set a timer according to the package instructions.
* Use diluted urine. Drinking too much fluid before taking the test may cause a false-negative result. For the most accurate results, take the test first thing in the morning — when your urine is the most concentrated.

If your period hasn't started within a week after a negative home pregnancy test, repeat the test.

there have been cases where PT do not work at ALL for some women. No one is questioning the effectiveness or how common it is. Smile

Hoping you get the resluts you're hoping for!

I think I'm pregnant too, but I'm not quite due for AF yet, so no point in testing or getting my hopes up too high yet!
