Hey,
i heard u were sposed to wash all of
baby's things (clothes hats, etc) before
its born and that u should use the baby
detergent called "all care baby" or
somethin but we dont have that up here. I
was wondering if just normal tide or
whatever would be good enough? Or is
there any other better detergents to
use???

My mom says there is dreft and "ivory
snow" that she knows of. Of course that
is here in pennsylvania, but try there and
see. If you cannot find either of those,
ask a pharmacist. Regular detergent is
too harsh for their sensitive skin.

I never used anything special to wash the
clothes with. My doctor said you dont
have to unless the baby has sensitive
skin!

Dawn is dish soap and downy is fabric
softener. The soap does not have to be
"soft" it just has to be made for babies
or for delicate skin. The same reason
you do not use adult shampoo or soaps on
babies. All babies have sensitive skin.
Like I said, ask your doctor or
pharmacist, but I will look online to see
what else there is.

I looked online and found tons of
different baby detergents. But I also
found a site where a lot of women said
that they just used dye free and perfume
free detergent instead. They make tide
free and downy free and I found another
baby detergent from purex. Your best bet
though is just to go into your local
wal-mart or the like and ask the
pharmacist what he/she recommends that is
effective and cheap. Some people do not
have a problem with using regular
detergent, but I personally would not take
the chance with a little one.

Im confused....Why do we have to wash our
babys clothes before dressing them in it?
Is it because of the fabric or ? Just
curious and confused

Cuz the fabric is harsher b4 their ever
worn and it hurts their super sensitive
skin there born with (thats y u wash em
first noodlenshorty*) also, u should buy
baby detergent, especially for newborns
.If u cant find it and go to any big store
where they sell detergent u can just ask
someone there and im sure they'll know*
