So I seriously need a life. lol. I just spend 20 minutes in front of the mirror thinking of all the plastic surgery that I want. I know that we should all be happy with our bodies and accept them, but damn it.. Im back to my prebaby weight, and my body looks nothing like it did before. I have a pooch and more cellulite. I just want to look like I did before I got pregnant. Its been 5 months, but I mean how long does it take? My hips are so much wider, half my old clothes don't fit anymore. I dont know.. its just frustrating. Brian is still gone (but he'll be home Friday, so im excited about that)
I just want to look perfect for him. We are going up to Washington for Christmas and im going to meet his mom and brother and all of his friends for the first time, and I want to look good, more I want to FEEL good about myself.
Sigh.. Am I really vain or is there anyone else out there who feels this way?
Brian tells me I look just like I used to before I had her, but I think he is just a good husband and says it because he is suppose to. lol
I know I should be happy, I know it could be worse, but I just cant help but feel so disgusted with myself. Brian told me I could get a boob job after im done having our kids and seriously im now thinking about just having two instead of three because I so badly want to feel good about myself again.

Okay end of pitty party lol.

Aw cute pics! I know what you mean, my hhips are wider too since having a child and it seems like no matter how much weight I lose, my hips will always make me look fat. But what can you do? Is any woman happy with her body?

BTW.. who's the lady with the purple shirt? Mother Nature was veerrrrrrrry generous to her in places i think she forgot to address on me.. lol

Vanessa I think that you look great!! A womens hips always change after childbirth......and I don't think that they really ever go back to the way they were before. But I think that it makes a women look more womenly to have curves like that.I know that you don't see it because we are always our own worse critique but I bet that Brian honestly thinks that you look the same if not better because of the fact that you are the mother of his child. I am sure that his family will think that you are gorgeous.......I just wish that I could've had a body like that before getting pregnant let alone after pregnancy..lol

Also please don't take this the wrong way but I have a 5 yr old daughter and they really pick up on how mommy feels and they hear everything you say. One day my daughter told me that she was fat and I almost had a heart attack. So now I am just trying to focus on being healthy rather than "perfect" because the last thing that I want is my daughter to have issues with her image later on. I know that you would never intentionally want that for Bri but I just thought that I would mention it because it can happen.

You are beautiful girl.....and I am sure that Brian will be very proud to show you off to his family and friends Smile

I have to agree 100% with this. I see nothing wrong with the way you look after the baby Very Happy I would give my left leg to look like that! lol All womens bodies change after having a baby, and i was lucky when i had my first at 18 that it went right back to the way i was before. I have always been a bit heavy, and had big hips so it didn't affect me. But this time around is going to be a whole new ball game. I'm scared to death this weight is not going to come off with out a long hard fight.

Sandy- yea, you should see her scars.. I now would never have a tummy tuck.. yuck

I know that little girls pick up on it. Thats what frustrates me, I want my daughter to have a healthy self esteem. I know my issues stem from my mom (who has body imagine issues)
it is very much passed on!!
I think thats the worst part of it, the mental aspect. I see other woman as gorgeous.. Im harder on myself then anyone else.

This thread makes me sad. Vanessa you do look great in all your pics Ive seen. On those pics where you had a night out your stomach looked flat already! I dread to think what you would say if you saw my body when you think yours is so bad.
It is hard. Society is telling us to be thin as much as it can. Magazines, tv, movies, adverts, clothes seem to look way better when you're thin, people compliment you more..the list goes on. Theres so much pressure to diet diet diet. Its sad we cant just accept ourselves the way we are.

I have saggy boobs, a saggy pouch on my belly, wider hips and celulite! You're not the only one!
How much dos Bree weigh now? Mika was weighed last week and was 18lbs 3oz, my neice was only 18lbs 6oz at 8.5 months lol, Mika's a chubba!

oh my gosh!!
I thought bree was huge. We went in on Monday and she was 15lbs 13ounces.

Crazy how big they get!!

how old is mika now?
Bree will be 5 months on the 11th
