Q: Sharp Pain In Hips

i have this terrible sharp pain over my lower hip areas, it comes when you least expect it and it feels like something is coming out of place. My doctor says it is a muscle that slips off something and i need to exercise my hip area and showed me how. does any of this make since? It realley hurts and i scream with pain when it happens...
