Hi,
ive had very bad depression ever since my
best friend dad back in june of this year
my only outlet is to write to him in my
journal although i know he'll never read
it obviously as hes dead but i find that
it keeps me sane.
I also cant seem to get to sleep before
4am every-night and i need to be up early
for work at around 10am every morning.
any advice on what to do without taking
sleeping pills?

I've had the same problem with sleeping
and depression (not same cause as you
though).
Here are some tips I've found helped me
through my sleepless depression:
-Warm glass of milk before bed.
-Stay away from TV, computer, or other
sources of light where you have to stare
into about 1-2 hours before bedtime. Read
a book or magazine or listen to radio or
something.
-Exercise, but Do NOT work out in the
evening. Try working out in morning or
afternoon. Also for your depression,
working out will help you feel better in
general and actually helps you sleep as
well.
-Finish eating at least 1 hour before
bedtime.
Hope it helps.

Seeing a therapist would help too, to deal
with the depression.

Counsiling, Church, and started watching
Joyce Meyer on TV. She shares experiences
and how she had to let go, one of them you
both went through. I bought the CD,
Beauty for Ashes is good to hear. I also
watch Sunday Morning Inspirational TV..
Joel Osteen, Charles Stanley, Creflow
Dollar, Paula White, I took the positive
views to push away the negative clouds
that were pouring down on me. Look for
the Positive.

Keeping yourself on a strict schedule will
help as well. (Sleeping)
